The pizza-eating, cannoli-crunching, garlic-guzzling Vinnie Santino is quite the character. Recording over 20 albums under a number of different guises, Santino’s extensive stint in the music world has left him with over 40 custom-built guitars, his own private recording studio, and an extremely high cholesterol level. His music, though still high in calories, is unarguably unique, fresh, and yet thoroughly familiar.

Last year, over an elaborate spaghetti dinner in the back room of his favorite North Hollywood eatery, Santino convinced the members of Royal Crown Revue to back him on his just completed collection of TV cop-show tunes, written specifically for shows existing only in Santino’s own over-active mind. Royal Crown Revue, the band mostly known for their seasoned swing-chops, left their inhibitions at the studio door, spicing up Santino’s compositions with fiercely-played horns and chugging-chase-rhythms. The result, That’s Him Officer!, is a genre-bending assemblage of bottom-heavy musical juice designed to give even the most timid driver the needed gusto to out-motor the L.A.C.H.P.

Vinnie Santino is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist playing over 35 different instruments. The media has compared him to the likes of Frank Zappa and Henry Mancini. With an extensive collection of traffic tickets, Italian suits, and pinky rings, Santino spends his days in his San Fernando Valley compound conducting ‘family business’ and relaxing behind the controls of his 12 surveillance cameras busily scanning the periphery of his heavily guarded fortress. But this is all more than you should know at this point.

With That’s Him Officer! now in stores, the next stage is to take to the road with his horn-blowin’ wife, Jacqueline, and a bunch of fellas in nice suits. With a calzone in one hand and a saxophone in the other, Vinnie Santino is armed and ready to take on America’s freeways.
